Steel,The Show 2009- What am I thinking?

Friday and flex practices are going well. The goal is to have an in-school functioning band by Christmas, but at this rate it may be much sooner. I don't however want the band taking on performances outside of school. That, trust me is hard work, and we need to concentrate on our sound as a new band first. Thanks for all the new enthusiasm-and, we have six girls in the band too!

Steel The Show 2009

SDSA's Steel, The Show is rebuilding, but in- school flex time is not enough, and doesn't include 5th graders. There will be after school practice therefore every Friday from 3-5PM except the 26th, which will go to only 4PM. This is for 5th -8th graders. Former players will come over from I.R. to help.

I have ordered some sticks, but all students should attempt to get their own sticks on line once they determine the pan they want to play.

There will be no shows for most SDSA students until Steel, The Show can play without outside help.

High school players have a show leaving from SDSA Friday after practice, and the 2 Dewey Beach weddings Saturday night.

Snow Hill Cancelled-Saturday Night Wedding Update

Snow Hill on Saturday is off. No shows next weekend.

The Dewey Wedding is on for my "High School" band. I will leave at 5PM for Venus on The Half Shell on McKinley St. on the bay. We play at 6 to 6:30,and then after the ceremony until 8PM.

This Weekend- I need to know now!!-By Thursday Night

Friday 4-8 PM Jungle Jim's Realtor Party-There is a limit of who I can take,but high school students and Labor Day participants get first choice. I will leave SDSA at 3 with the bus, and can stop at IRHS and somewhere in Millsboro if necessary.
Saturday- 1:30-2:30 in Snow Hill leaving my house at 12NOON. I can stop in Selbyville if neccesary. I can't cancel this, so I need everyone who can make it.
Saturday night is a small band wedding in Dewey-details coming-6:30 to 8:30


For Friday 9/5-If no one informs me Thursday, and there are no further postings, then anyone should go who wants too-have your uniform with you tomorrow.
